The Global Ocean Race 2011-12 can announce a new Race Partner for the event in the form of ATN Incorporated. Florida-based ATN is owned and operated by renowned French sailor Etienne Giroire who has created some of the best products in the world that assist short-handed sailors.
In particular, the ATN Spinnaker Sleeve and the ATN Top Climber are regarded as essential items for the efficient management of spinnakers and climbing a mast safely and easily.
“Anybody can get a sail up. It takes a sailor to get it down,” commented Etienne. “That statement is particularly true regarding the spinnaker,” he continues. “The problem is not to hoist the sail but to get it back on the boat safely and efficiently without damage.
